The Fundamentals of Pop-up Book Making: A Workshop with Simon Arizpe

PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED FOR THIS FREE WORKSHOP (LIMIT 15 - ages 12 and above only). 

Learn the basic techniques of pop-up book engineering and paper mechanics in this hand-on free workshop, geared towards adults. During this workshop, participants will deconstruct the essential mechanisms from which all pop-up book structures are based, be familiarized with the tools and techniques used by professionals in the field, build examples of mechanisms for themselves, and look critically at the properties of each mechanism as well as how the mechanisms are interconnected. By the end of the workshop participants will have a basic understanding of paper engineering and the pop-up book field.
