Join celebrated author Robert Michael Pyle for a reading and discussion. His newly released book of poetry (Chinook and Chanterelle) is rich in natural images, stories, and indelible episodes from the whole world around us. Pyle's poems also track the territory of loss and grief as it rises onto the higher ground of rediscovery, redemption, and re-enchantment. He will also be introducing his next book of prose: Through a Green Lens: Fifty Years of Writing for Nature, and and reading a short piece about how such a long career in the literature of the land began, developed, and how it goes on. Pyle was the 2006 Kittredge Distinguished Visiting Writer in Environmental Studies here at the University of Montana
